About Us  

At the Boat House we hope that it is our personality that you remember the most. We are a husband and wife team, Sara and Paul Melvin. Both well travelled, we know that it is the attention to detail in a guest house that makes a stay memorable. We hope we have created a pleasurable home that will encourage you to return. We are able to cater for small corporate getaways (up to 12 people sharing), short business trips, or when you simply need a break from the hustle and bustle.

The Boat House offers the charm of a bed and breakfast in a quality setting. If you're lucky during your stay you may catch a glimpse of our local seal population, or a friendly porpoise swimming by. A real treat in the summer is to watch the Waverley Paddle Steamer glide into the harbour. It's the last sea going paddle steamer in the world!
